The Program

In the Power Lab we use CompuTrainer’s MultiRider, arguably the best in power training systems. Athletes will be guided on their individual technique, performance, and fitness while still enjoying the camaraderie of a group session.

Core training is December-March. For athletes aiming for spring 2012 goals we encourage you to start with our transition phase training in November. April classes will be held on an as-needed basis, in case of inclement weather.

Why Train with Power?
Some key advantages of training with power over other methods include:

  • Power shows you how hard your body is actually working. While heart rate is really only an indicator of how hard you are working.
  • With the data received from training with power we can more easily distinguish strengths and weaknesses and structure your training accordingly.
  • Changes in power can be detected almost immediately, which enables your coach to better perceive your efforts and fitness.
